Healthcare Computing delivers network management to Coventry

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust IT Collaborative, which provides IT services to NHS Coventry, and its 68 GP practices, has rolled out a network management, remote maintenance and deployment solution from Healthcare Computing. Since the deployment, which started in December 2010 and was completed in March 2011, the number of site visit call-outs has been reduced by almost 50%, and the time saved on installing Microsoft Office and Evolve desktop shortcuts and applications at all practices has been put at 25 days per installation.

Cegedim RX unveils New Medicines Service functionality

Cegedim Rx has released new functionality to help Nexphase customers to implement the New Medicines Service; which is designed to give patients with certain long-term conditions information, advice and support with newly prescribed medicines. In November, Cegedim Rx released functionality to help pharmacies identify patients eligible for the service. The new functionality includes an improved on-screen prompt, label printing, and a note that an NMS intervention has taken place. A similar pattern of releases is planned for Pharmacy Manager.
