Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust went live with its Allscripts electronic patient record last weekend, three months ahead of schedule.
Out-of-hours provider Harmoni has signed a deal to use a tool developed in Qatar to remotely monitor telehealth patients. Harmoni signed the deal with Corinium Technologies for its RASAD tool to support patients with long-term conditions. RASAD enables real time remote monitoring using wireless sensors. Corinium will integrate the RASAD platform into Harmoni’s existing healthcare application and information management system.

Microtest’s Evolution system has been given full rollout approval for the Electronic Prescription Service Release 2. Chris Netherton, managing director of Microtest said Evolution 11 delivers a host of new functionality and makes implementation of EPS R2 and Personal Demographic Services v2 “very simple.” “GP2GP is following hot on the heels of EPSv2, with our software already in interoperability testing with NHS CFH and right behind that is our Summary Care Record module,” he added.
