A £32m business case to provide nine southern community and child health providers with TPP’s SystmOne has been signed off by the government.
A new government fund to boost adoption of e-prescribing will not be enough to help “laggard” trusts start the journey towards electronic patient records, health IT experts warn.
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and the Bodleian Libaries have signed a one-year deal with Elsevier to get access to ClinicalKey; a collection of resources drawn from textbooks, medical journals, MEDLINE abstracts and videos.

Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has said it is on course to save £1.2m over three years after introducing SMART time and attendance slutions and e-rostering solutions from Kronos to 3,000 staff, including 1,500 nurses. Ian Child, financial controller, said the benefits were also clear to staff, since they spent less time administering and recording shifts and there were fewer payroll errors.
