NHS Grampian pilots SMART systems

NHS Grampian is running an e-rostering pilot with SMART as part of an initiative to improve practices, efficiency and productivity. The pilot is one of the largest in the UK and covers 19 wards, over ten months. As part of the pilot, the health board is also working with SMART on Real Time Hosptial, which will interface with the e-rostering system to provide real-time staff managaement, via dashboards that can instantly highlight staff issues on wards. The health board hopes to save at least one full time equivalent staff member per ward per year by using the two systems.
