The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust has completed an upgrade to Ascribe’s latest mental health and community care client management system, JCC.
The trust has also integrated JCC with its Ascribe Pharmacy system, so that clinicians can share and review medicines records within JCC.
Central and North West London implemented Ascribe’s earlier patient administration system, ePEX, in 1994 and took the decision to upgrade to JCC in 2006.
It said the decision to remain outside the National Programme for IT in the NHS, and migrate from ePEX to JCC, was based on its requirement for an integrated electronic patient records system.
Ascribe said that with the latest developments the trust had achieved its requirement for a single, integrated mental health clinical solution.
Ben Lucas, consultant psychiatrist, said in a statement: “We chose the Ascribe JCC system due to its ability to act as a single integrated mental health clinical solution in what is a complex clinical environment.
“The system provides us with all the information we need at point of care and helps us improve patient safety.”
The trust is on an annual rolling contract with Ascribe, and said it would continue to reassess the performance of the system to make sure it is meeting the requirements of the current market.
