What does this statement in the info strategy mean for the future of NHS Choices? - any ideas? "The Department of Health and other central bodies will, over time, stop providing certain information where this is better done by the market.

Having had the chance to read the information strategy through one of the questions I'm left with is -- what is it with portals? The strategy at various points alights on them as a silver bullet for patient access and 'integrating' clinical systems.
