Nuance

Nuance

Nuance Healthcare has released a case study from Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which is using speech recognition to compliment its RIS and PACS. Thanks to speech recognition, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust increased the reporting rate from 50% to 98% and reduced average turnaround time by approximately 60%. The trust is following in the footsteps of HCA International in London, where report creation times are now at two minutes and 40 seconds thanks to frontend speech recognition.

Nuance technologies are brought to hospitals and trusts by major Health-IT firms, seamlessly embedded into their RIS, PACS, HIS, EMR or dictation workflow solutions. The list of Nuance's integration partners and the full version of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and HCA International case studies are available at www.nuance.co.uk/healthcare.

With 2013 looming, let our VNA give you real ownership of your PACS data

With the demise of the National Programme for IT in the NHS, radiology and PACS professionals are under increasing pressure to provide an application and storage environment to overcome their existing issues regarding accessing, sharing, managing and protecting clinical images and data.

Trusted by more than 1,000 hospitals worldwide, BridgeHead Software is helping NHS organisations with their clinical and administrative data and storage management challenges by providing a Vendor Neutral Archive. BridgeHead's VNA separates the data from the application that created it and offers choice to the hospital as to where that data is stored, irrespective of storage platform or media type. This provides hospitals with more choice, flexibility and control over the way data is accessed, shared, protected and managed. The net effect – better utilisation of hardware and the efficient distribution, availability and use of vital healthcare data.

For more information on our Vendor Neutral Archive or to book our free VNA seminar, please contact John McCann:
