Increasingly formal documents, be they DH, European Commission, Nuffield, Kings Fund etc have implications for information handling and a need (usually under-stated) for professional staff to minimise risk and to deliver the necessary informatics to make it happen. UKCHIP are continuing to respond wherever possible to breif on the additional value of domain-competent health informatics professionals (of any constituency) in those situations.

If you see a document you feel has relevance and needs a response (whether its a formal consultation or not) then highlight it via this group please. There can then be action which will help to move HI from the back office to directly supporting the front-line, and raise our pprofile.
