Has anyone had any experience of mapping the requirements?
We're just in the process of introducing Care Plans on our RiO system using SNOMED CT but I'm finding our Data Warehouse is creating slightly conflicting reporting requirements to support CID (www.ic.nhs.uk/services/in-development/community-information-programme/community-information-data-set-cids).
As we've not configured large parts of RiO, we don't have our local codes everywhere. So adding the first language was pretty simple, did a SNOMED to get the main language (www.snomedbrowser.com/Codes/Details/370157003) and then mapped it to CID's, lastly uploaded to RiO.
It would be wonderful if the CID's activity types matched to CONCEPT types but, no it's not that easy. [We have interventions SNOMED mapped and I wish to map the RiO Activities (local codes) to SNOMED Concept ID and not add in a 3rd code system.]

Hi there
I have had some problems mapping SNOMED codes to the CIDS requirements for our Crosscare implementation. We are still working on this, I have some detailed documentation (yawn!) with what I have and haven't achieved so far.
Looks like mapping the CIDS requirements to SNOMED coding would be a very useful a piece of work!

Information Centre SHOULD suggest the information within the Community Information Data Set is geared towards SNOMED CT well before April 2015 subject to having suitable systems in place.

I recently visited Camden and Islington NHS Trust where Peter Gooch has been introducing this kind of work, perhaps he would have some good advice? He is certainly very enthusiastic.
