What is the CCIO Leaders Network?

The CCIO Leaders Network has been established to promote and develop chief clinical information officers across the NHS.

The CCIO vision and 12 point plan, launched in January 2014, details how CCIOs can help to deliver an improved health service through a clinically led information agenda, and the CCIO Leaders Network is now working to promote it at all levels.

The CCIO Leaders Network also delivers an extensive programme of events with its partners, the highlights of which are the annual summer school in July and the CCIO Leaders Network Annual Conference in November.

Sign up to express your support, be sent more information, and to opt to receive our regular newsletter, which includes provocative columns, profiles, and advance notice of events and other ways to contribute to the development of CCIOs.

Cisco offices, 9-11 New Square, Bedfont Lakes, Feltham, Middlesex, TW14 8HA

The potential for adoption of video technologies to assist healthcare provision has long been understood and indeed there are several great examples of success. But it has to be said that the complexity of the technology has often thwarted  widespread adoption. Today Cisco believe that video technology has reached a level of maturity and simplicity that means the NHS is on the cusp of an explosion in adoption in the immediate years ahead. Delegates will learn more about harnessing these advancements in video technology to improve health outcomes. They will also hear from clinical colleagues using this type of technology and find out how it can be used effectively within their own organisation.

The afternoon session is an opportunity for the different networks to hold joint meetings, in particular the regional CCIO Leaders Network and the North East CIO network.
